| Group Services: Social Skills Groups: small group therapy sessions that combine Neurologic Music Therapy and DIR®/Floortime TM techniques (as well as other developmental therapy strategies individualized for each client's needs) in a co-treatment setting to address developmental goals and objectives. Co-led by a Board Certified Music Therapist and a trained specialist in DIR®/Floortime TM. Music Recreation Groups: short-term music social groups for children and teens with special needs. Therapeutic Play Groups: in-home or agency-based play groups (with or without music) guided by a facilitator(s) that focus on supporting pro-social skills. Individual Services: Individual Music Therapy: highly individualized sessions that utilize therapeutic neurologic music tasks, as well as traditional music therapy, specifically designed to address objective, measurable, nonmusical goals. When appropriate, specialized adaptive music learning is incorporated into individual sessions. An initial assessment is required prior to initiation of service. Developmental Analysis and Intervention: individualized, play-based developmental therapy incorporating DIR/Floortime principles (as well as other strategies individualized for each client) which fosters growth in all areas of development through interpersonal relationships. Behavior Intervention: individualized client/family/classroom guidance that addresses specific behavior issues currently interfering with a child's healthy development. Music Therapy IEP Assessment: implementation of the SEMTAP (Special Education Music Therapy Assessment Process) to determine if music therapy is educationally necessary for a student. When music therapy is deemed educationally necessary for a student, we are available to provide follow-up direct and consultative services to address specific I.E.P. goals and objectives. Music Therapy IEP Assessment Process Music Therapy and Special Education Other Services: Consultation: discussion and guidance in DIR®/Floortime TM, Neurologic Music Therapy, traditional music therapy, development delays, behavioral issues, and other related topics. Consultation is available to parents, non-profit groups, caregivers, schools, agencies, and other professionals. Training: instruction in a wide variety of Neurologic Music Therapy, music therapy, and DIR®/Floortime TM applications. |
