| Amy M. Lumadue, MA, LPC, is co-founder and co-director of Creating Connections Company, LLC. She is a licensed professional counselor with over 17 years of experience in working with children with developmental disabilities and their families, specializing in autism. Ms. Lumadue currently is a Parent Educator at the Achievement Centers for Children, is thoroughly trained in several treatment methodologies, and is a candidate for advanced certification in DIR ®/Floortime TM. Deborah L. Layman, MM, MT-BC, NMT, is co-founder and co-director of Creating Connections Company, LLC. She is a board-certified music therapy with advanced certification in Neurologic Music Therapy (NMT). Ms. Layman has over 11 years of experience in working with special needs children of all ages and diagnoses, including autism and emotional disturbance. Ms. Layman is on the Continuing Education Committee for the Certification Board for Music Therapists, and is the Internship Chair for the Association of Ohio Music Therapists. She is currently the Music Grant Specialist at Beech Brook. Ms. Layman is a frequent national and international conference presenter and has published several peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and manuals involving her research in music therapy. |
